So those of you who have talked to me in person lately alreadly know this, but I've decided to go to CCA over Ringling. CCA's faculty, location, and financial aid package are too good to ignore.

I've started having fanboy freakouts whenever I see the credits of a Pixar film.

I found out today I've been accepted to Ringling for computer animation. So, now it's a tough choice between Ringling's very well established program and CCA's brand new but rather promising major.

Also, the UUA called today to say that they would consider changing the rules of their art school scholarship so that they can give it to me. The scholarship was established in about eighteen fifty, and as such makes no provisions for animation. However, legally, they are free to modify the rules as is reasonable due to time, and are considering doing so.

It's a good day.

I just got an acceptance letter from California College of the Arts. Quite a relief, for as I'm still pretty sure Ringling is my top choice, I wouldn't have any regrets going to CCA, which is more than I can say about any of the schools further down my list.

I just received an email telling me that one of my pieces is going to be shown at the Center for Contemporary Arts in Santa Fe. That's really quite insanely cool, as it is a rather prestigious gallery, but does mean that I'm going to have to figure out how to get said piece out of the art building, framed, and to Santa Fe by six P.M. tomorrow. This could get all manner of interesting.

It's good to be in what is now a blue state. Elections have been rather depressing for as long as I've been politically active (with the partial exception of 2006, which was good on a national scale but disappointing locally). All the major races went how I hoped, and my old campaign manager at LCV got elected country clerk. The gay marriage amendments were the only dark spot of the night, though their is still hope in California.
