Brass Dragon WIP 5 by Meloncov Brass Dragon WIP 5 by Meloncov
Very nearly done with modeling. I'm aiming to have this textured, rigged, and rendered in time for the local national portfolio review day a month from today (well, yesterday now). This should get pretty interesting

I use lightwave. It's an excellent program, but if your new I'd suggest starting with something simpler; either Wings 3d or DOGA.

Would the muscles actually be like that? have you looked at how bird's muscles look? It seems like they wouldn't dip quite like that, on that one side.

Other than that, good job. ^_^

As it has fifty percent more limbs than any vertibrate on earth, I'm pretty much guesing on where the muscles should go. In a bird, the wing muscles are rough where the legs are on this guy, so I can't base it directly off of them. Still, your not the only person to comment that the muscles look unnatural, so I'll be working more on them.

Well, it's simply in that one part. It looks like the muscles should angle more toward the wings and not horizontally across the joint. If that made any sense. >_<'' I know how hard it is, though.
